Dopo 25 anni di docenza in Accademia della Scala e molte produzioni  ,il  teatro alla Scala nel 2016 ha invitato la signora Serra  per un concerto .

Luciana Serra was for several years a teacher at the International Summer Academie at the Mozarteum in Salzburg – She currently collaborates with the Conservatory of the Theater at the Liceu and the ESMUC in Barcelona.

 

Born in Genoa, made her debut in 18th century operas. From 1980 onwards has performed in the main Italian opera-houses:

Has reproposed the “soprano di coloratura” repertoire to the attention of publics and critics along with rediscoveries of both Rossini’s and Donizetti’s serious and comic production.

In 1981 was given the title of “Accademico della Regia Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna”.

Has, in the meantime, pursued her international career, after her debut at the Covent Garden Opera House, London, in “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” by Offenbach (Domingo – Serra – Cotrubas – Baltza), in the most important opera-houses in the world:

In Corinth, during the Athens Cultural Olympiad 2001-2004, sang in “L’assedio di Corinto” by G. Rossini, as Pamira. The performance was produced on the corresponding archeological site.
