Born in Irun (Spain), began his musical studies at “L’ecole Nationale de Musique de Bayonne” (France), with pianist Françoise Doué, where he was awarded the Gold Medal.
Perfects his musical training at the C.N.S.M. París, under the tutelage of Master Jacques Rouvier and Devoyon Pascal. Was awarded the First Prize of Piano and the First Prize for Chamber Music unanimously.
He continued his training at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía with Dimitri Bashkirov and Galina Eguiazarova.
He also has received advice from teachers like Alicia de Larrocha, Leo Fleisher, François-René Duchable, Darío De la Rosa, Emil Naoumoff…
His strong professional background is supported by five international first prizes in piano and an uninterrupted professional activity that has led to performances in four continents:
Fisrt Prize Flame (Paris), First Prize Claude Kahn (Paris), Special Prize International Competition in Santander, First Prize Saint-Nom La Breteche (París), First Prize Ufam Chamber Music.
He has performed as a soloist with the Orchestra Nationale de Bayonne , Andres Segovia Chamber Orchestra , Orquesta Pablo Sarasate (Pamplona), Chamber Orchestra of Marseille (France), Orquesta de Valencia, Orquesta Sinfónica de Ciudad de México…
He has recorded for Radio France, Radio Nacional of Spain, Euskadi Irratia, Radio Bremen, Radio Bartok Budapest, has recently recorded the album for piano with music by Benet Casablancas, Naxos.
He is founding member of B3 Brouwer Trio and the Apellaniz Duo, with whom he plays regularly in many international festivals. He is a solo pianist of “Grup Instrumental de Valencia” with which he has won the National Music Prize 2005, awarded by the Ministry of Culture.
He has taught as Professor of Piano at the Higher School of Music of the Basque Country Musickene, National School of Music in Bayonne (France), and different Master Class and summer.
He is currently Professor of Piano at the Conservatory of Music in valencia . Recently he has recorded the integral of Sonatas and Interludes for prepared piano by John Cage and B3: Brouwer Trio with the integral of Chamber Music for the formation of Leo Brouwer with the seal in the SGAE Author Foundation.
